Rename the two files from the ROM ZIP using the command line: $ mv 3410175H.BIN boot.hiДЇirst go to the Preferences menu itemвЂ¦ and select boot.hi as the ROM. Move the 7 (2 ROM+5 LOS) files into a folder (named Lisa) as described above, along with the LisaEM application.

Use StuffIt Expander to un-hqx the five Lisa archive files to get Lisa Office System 1/5.image to Lisa Office System 5/5.image.

It was my first attempt at getting it running and, as such, is extremely unpolished. The process below was run on an Intel i5 2. The new 1.2.7 version seems to differ from the instructions above, which were written in 2007.

From there, follow its prompts to install LOS to the emulated 10MB ProFile hard disk. Then hit the LisaвЂ™s Continue button, and after a couple seconds, the LOS installer should appear. A dialog box pops up asking, вЂњHard Drive Size?вЂќ I picked the 2nd option, вЂњ10M вЂ“ any OSвЂќ. Then go to LisaEmвЂ™s File menu and selected вЂњRunвЂќ. So, if you move your LisaEm files or rename the enclosing folder, things will break unless you modify the conf file manually, or re-set your preferences (which may in turn kick off a whole new hard drive setup process - I donвЂ™t know yet.)ДҐ. There does not appear to be a way to override that location furthermore, that conf file contains entries with absolute file paths to the ROM and (later) hard disk files. NOTE: This step causes two files to be generated: a вЂњboot.ROMвЂќ file in the same directory as the boot.hi and boot.lo files, AND a nf file in your home directory. You do not need to convert them any further.Д¤. Un-binhex the LOS files with Stuffit Expander. Inside it, put the LisaEm app, boot.hi, and boot.lo, and the five Lisa Office System disk images from here: ДЈ.

Make a folder under your Mac OSX home dir, called LisaEM. That caused the emulator to throw an error about the checksum, then crash. I attempted to rename those files in the Finder, and it appeared to work however, OS X retained the additional вЂњ.binвЂќ suffix, so the filenames were actually вЂњboot.hi.binвЂќ and вЂњboot.lo.binвЂќ.
